With cold temps in full-swing, it’s time to switch out the windbreakers and sweatshirts for parkas and coats. I’ve never been a believer that you have to sacrifice style for warmth; you can, in fact, have both! After years of trial and error, I’m rounding up my favorite tall-approved coats for winter that are equally chic as they are warm.

Parkas
I love parkas for busy days where you’re in and out of the car and don’t need a huge coat getting in your way. Think errands, work, or the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping.
Long Puffer Coats
I think everyone should own a long puffer coat, because they’re perfect for outdoor winter excursions where warmth is your number one priority. Whether you’re hitting outdoor sporting events or walking through a winter wonderland, try these long coats.
Short Puffer Coats
I’ll usually reach for my short puffer coats when I’m wanting to keep my upper half the warmest. They’re really on-trend right now, too, so they’re easy to come by.
Overcoat
The classic 90’s overcoat will always be in style and like short puffer coats, are easy to find. I love reaching for an overcoat when I’m wanting to elevate my outfit. Matching sweat set? Add an overcoat. Dress and heels? Add an overcoat.
