I Spent a Month In Paris And Saw These 5 Trends Everywhere
After over a year of saving, I was incredibly fortunate enough to be able to spend a whole month this summer in my dream city, Paris! I have never been to Europe before but I’ve always dreamed of living in the city of lights and this year, it pretty much solidified to me that my future will be in Paris.
But enough about my trip! You all are here for the fashion! And so am I. One of the biggest reasons I love Paris is the lifestyle, which eminently translates into the fashion. Everything felt more relaxed in Paris and so did the clothing.
The streets were filled with classic Parisian style that to me, fell into a mix of quiet luxury, old money aesthetic, and also… comfortable!
As I wandered the streets daily, I noticed a recurring 5 fashion trends that almost every Parisian woman wore, so I’m here to report back to you on the style! So if you’re having Parisian dreams like I am, you can at least get the style with these 5 fashion trends I saw everywhere on my trip to Paris!
Maxi Skirts
The statement of the summer! Maxi skirts have exploded everywhere and for great reason. They’re classy, breathable and can go with a ton of different tops and shoes. If there’s one thing I’d invest in for long-term wear, it’s a nice maxi skirt.
Button Downs
I personally can make my whole personality revolve around button-downs. They truly go with anything and can transition seasons easily. The below are many I saw on the streets in Paris, with the top trend being stripes.
Flats and Sandals
There’s no better time to bring out these babies than in the summer! However, it was so prominent in the fashion here that it’s worth noting. Flats, specifically ballet flats have been trending for quite some time, and if there’s anything I picked up from this, is that they’re definitely here to stay.
Trousers
Of course, I saw many trousers on my vacation as it’s literally a perfect capsule wardrobe piece. Many of the trousers I saw were flannel and lightweight to accommodate the weather, but you also couldn’t go wrong with a standard cotton blend trousers in Paris. Particularly… white trousers!
Simple Jewelry
If there’s one thing Parisians know is classic fashion and style. While I didn’t come across a ton of statement jewelry like is trending here in the US, I did see a lot of classic, simple and elegant jewelry pieces that really brought looks together.
